Support and validate the existence of all identities across the gender, sexuality, and romantic identities spectrums by creating a sense of belonging, cultivating a network of mentoring support, while promoting students’ personal and academic success. Our purpose is to advocate collaboratively with coalition partners for systematic change in policy and practice to remove barriers, create belonging, and support student success.Įducate the campus community by providing development opportunities to encourage respectful discussion, challenge attitudes, personal reflection, competency-building, as well as academic and professional development related to gender, sexuality, and romantic identities. We build an equitable and inclusive culture of care on our campus in order to have a positive impact on the career readiness, graduation rates, and holistic success of UNC students.
